A little about myself...

Michael Emmanuel is a man of some serious conviction, however irrelevant those convictions may be to the outside world. His personal triumphs are special to him. Learning new things has become his most enthusiastic passion in recent years. His main objective is to turn his personal triumphs in writing into short stories and novels that are understood to be of artistic merit in the public eye. He believes that he can do this because his stories and novels will appeal to all looking for perfection in literature. He feels that there will be action and sex for readers who need those things, chaos and originality for others, structure and versatility for the rest. He wants these things to be his direct and lasting contribution to the world, and he'd just like to be acknowledged sooner rather than posthumously. It is important to him that he see his effect on the people, that he know that there is more reason to do this than simply to display talent. He wants to build a long list of lasting literary impressions. He wants to write things that read like pieces of music. He wants to one day write a novel that reads like a three-week loop of Bob James' "Nautilus" that sounds better each day. He wants to build and create things that stand on their own, without him. People feel the greatest joy in creating life, he wants to create life on paper, not only through the life of plots, but with the complete cohesive chaos of styles and techniques in his work. He wants you to lie down and intoxicate yourself with your favorite biting beverage or hallucinogen and read his work, never knowing what is intoxicating you more. He wants you to fall asleep with that feeling. He wants you to dream as his characters dreamed, and wake up wondering what this man, this writer from New York City was really trying to tell you.
